The Musician

Sunai are born of mass-devastation (such as homicide), and they look entirely human. Instead of feeding on flesh and blood, they feed on the souls of sinners, people who've committed acts of violence and have created monsters. The only markings of a Sunai are their eyes (which come up smeared in pictures), and the marks on their skin, counting the days since they've "gone dark", which is when they cause mass destruction to everything and everyone around them. They have two distinct forms that usually don't cross: human and devil.

He stopped feeling guilty for what he did a long time ago. Those who killed, those who did the worst of the worst, they deserve to die. Feel what they’ve caused many others to feel. In fact, he enjoyed it. Making the powerful feel as powerless as possible.

ALEC’S APPEARANCE

Alec is what some would call “unconditionally handsome. The kind of handsome that might take you a second to really register. He stands at 6’1. He had a light tan to his skin, still light enough that people constantly mistake him for a surprisingly tan white person. He has black hair with a blonde streak in the front. Which is usually either down flat against his hair or underneath some sort of hat (whether that be a beanie or snapback). He is a skinny guy but very bulky, mostly from muscles. With some nicely defined abs and a nice v-line. Along with the marks he has on his arm, marking the days since he’s gone dark.

He has small almond shaped brown eyes. The color of milk chocolate bar or a tall glass of chocolate milk. Of which are surrounded by medium length lashes. Fairly thick and plump lips, the kind that most people have the constant urge to kiss. A kind of large nose that still manages to fit well on his face. Great cheekbones and some just defined cheekbones. A plain simple band is almost always on his left pointer finger, only time it’s not being when he took a shower. He dresses in a fairly “punk rock” style. Ripped jeans, plaids, muscle tees, band tees, other general stuff like that. So he always looks like the sort of rocker that he tries to be.

His style is a very punk rock. A rundown, ripped, stereotypical rocker teen. Ripped jeans, band tees (Green Day, Nirvana, Radiohead, other stuff like that), plain tees, muscle tees, and a bunch of “punk rock” stuff like that. A lot of people interpret him as an unruly and mischievous teen because of that.

Scars, Piercings, And Most Important Tattoos

Scars/Tattoos: There is only one marking he has on his whole body. The same one repeatedly. That marks the last time since he managed to “go dark”. It’s simply a thin circular black line. Starting at the tip of his left wrist and snaking all the way up his arm. Each line is less than a centimeter away so from far away it did seem like a very thick black color block. Since it’s been so long since he’s done that, it goes up both arms right now and is starting to head down his chest.

PERSONALITY

Sunai don’t truly feel emotions. One of the downsides of not being human. But he wanted more than anything to be able too. So, if want was an emotion, then that’s what he mostly felt. More than anything he wanted to feel. Be able to experience emotions like most other people can do. Instead of being this “emotionless robot” that he perceives himself as.

If he could feel though, then he would call it anger. Or bitterness if one would describe it as that. The idea of people hurting innocent people for no reason made absolutely no sense to him. Which is why he continued to do what he did. Take the souls from those who have hurt others. He has a moral compass, though one that is warped, it excluded criminals. He thought that they deserve whatever comes to them.

He is a very shy and reserved person. Not at all that good at talking to people and interacting, except when it comes too music. Which gives him all the confidence in the world. But besides that, he’s no good. His thoughts are clear in his head, but somewhere on the way out they tend to get very jumbled up. Then by the time they come out they are all wrong and twisted. But he can throw out very short spurts of charisma every once and awhile. He’s a pro when it comes to seduction. Or using his body to get what he wants. He’ll do almost whatever he has too, except having sex. Since he’s lived so long he doesn’t want to allow anyone to get extremely attached to him because of that.

Music is his life. Not only because it allows him to live, but because it was his only real escape. No matter what he’d been able to turn to music. It had always been there and never failed in making him feel better. So, it’s the first thing he turns too in any and all situations, before turning to anyone or anything else.

BACKGROUND

Sunai. Creatures are born from some of the worst possible crimes that one human can commit. Creatures created from crime that thrive off criminals, and the tainted souls that they carry around with them.

He was born in Guyana, from a mass cult suicide. When a leader as one might call it, convinced his followers to drink cyanide-laced punch.

No one really knows how a Sunai is born or created. How they are formed. Most just claim that one moment the universe is empty and the next they have appeared. Others say it’s a much more complicated process involving many different factors and long amounts of time.

All Alec knows is that in one instant he had been thrust into existence and the moment before he hadn’t been.

Much of his life is a blur. A lot of times of him going dark, or forcibly keeping himself from remembering the horrible things he had gone through. What he can say is he somehow managed, over multiple years, from his corner of South America up and into the “land of the free”.

Where he managed to establish himself and make a decent life for himself. Ended up finding his key instrument along with people to tour with. Which is why he hasn’t gone dark in a while.

(In general, not much is known about his past. By him or anyone else for that matter. Even the past couple of months tended to be a massive mess and blur of random events.)



POWERS

Demonic Soul // Users of this ability are not demons in human bodies, rather their spiritual essence is demonic in origin. Users have supernatural abilities on an demonic level. Some users powers might be dormant due to suppression by a higher power, and may have to be unlocked.

Soul Sight // The user can see and track the souls of other beings including the souls of the living and those of the dead. They can study and observe the nature of one's soul and find weaknesses based on the nature of the observed souls.

Soul Reading // The user can sense and read the souls of others, whether free (ie. dead, astral projection, etc) or in body. By reading souls, they can see/feel the being's characteristics, personality, feelings, memories, whether they even have a soul, damage others' souls have endured, and whether or not another entity is possessing or influencing the person on a spiritual level.

Soul Removal // The user can remove the souls from others, possibly resulting in apathy and psychopathy due to lack of emotions, especially empathy. Once removed, the souls may be vulnerable to damage, and restoration of the damaged soul may cause mental damage to the victim, such as madness.

Hypnotic Music // Users can use music to affect or directly influence other peoples minds to their commands.

Enhanced Musicianship // The users possess enhanced skills in musicianship. This could be in playing an instrument, singing, understanding notes and cues, etc.

Musical Intuition // User possesses incredible skill in music/musical instruments. Using this ability, they gain immediate understanding and mastery at using any/all instruments and producing musical notes with it, they can replicate any song heard or described, and have both perfect pitch and the ability to produce any note/tone with any instrument regardless of its nature or difficulty.
